He was predeceased by: his parents, Ercell Laverne Branning and Kathleen Bond Branning Woody; his siblings, Phillip Craig Branning, Steve Woody and Rhonda Sue Hutchens; and his stepfather John Woody.
He is survived by: his wife Louise Garner Branning; his son Roger Branning (Alesia) of Thomasville; his stepsons, Robbie Sikes (Paula) of Trinity and Mark Donald Burney of Clemmons; his grandchildren, Leah Faith Branning and Chet Reese Sikes; and his siblings, Earl Woody, Jeff Woody and Peggy Stone (Marty) of Sophia. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Wright Funerals-Cremations (1720 Westchester Dr, High Point, NC 27262). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
