He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph James and Pauline Browning Cavin; and his brothers, Donald Cavin and Derryl Cavin. He is survived by: his wife Diane Neal Cavin; his daughters, Michelle Cavin Craver (Tim) of Sophia and Angela Cavin Marsh (Allen) of Greensboro; his grandsons, Owen Ligon, Nick Craver and Grayson Craver; his great grandchild Eli Craver; and his sister Brenda Foster of High Point. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
