She was predeceased by: her former husband Lloyd Kidd; her husband James Barwick; her son Arnold Kidd; her stepson Philip Barwick; her parents, Clarence Smith and Lillie Perry Smith; and her brothers, Rudolph Smith and Ralph Smith.

She is survived by: her daughter Cheryl Kidd of Greensboro. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
