He was predeceased by: his parents, Phillip Merrill Whichard, Sr. and Margeurite Entzminger Whichard; his daughter Amanda; and his sister Rhonda Whichard. He is survived by: his wife Audrey Whichard; his son Phillip Merrill Whichard III of Hot Springs, Arkansas; and his siblings, Cathy Jackson of Georgetown, Pam Idol (James) of Rocky Point, Pat Brinkley of Gibsonville and Mark Whichard (Rhonda) of Greensboro. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, November 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Eugene Baptist Church (4212 S Elm-Eugene St, Greensboro, NC 27406).
