He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Brown and Zellar Ward Bridgman; his son Billy Bob Bridgman; and his siblings, Loretta Spivey, Geraldine Bridgman, Hazel Bridgman and Junior Bridgman.
He is survived by: his wife Joy Potter Bridgman; his children, Loretta Benson (Ricky) of Liberty, Victoria "Vicky" Lisk of Randleman, Geraldine Glasgow of High Point, Ramie Bridgeman (Karla) of Pleasant Garden, Albert Bridgman of Georgia, Curtis Bridgman (Ashley Cochran) of High Point, Russ Bridgman (Margaret) of High Point and Michelle Bridgman of Lexington; his stepchildren, David Coby of Long, Janelle Swicegood of High Point and Russell Coby of Winston-Salem; and his brother Billy Joe Bridgman of High Point. He is also survived by fifty grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren.
