He is survived by: his wife Ruby Keever Nelson; his sons, Roger Nelson and Scott Nelson of High Point; his granddaughter Andrea Salman (Ryan); his great grandchildren, Reese of Raleigh and Mackson of Raleigh; his stepgrandson Chuck Thrift (Sally); his sister-in-law Deloris Jaeger; Gaston of Conway, Emmitt of Conway, Maley of Conway, Doug, Glenda, David, Linda, Jimmy, June, Brock, Ray and Cliff.
