“Dear Susan... this is Karen Shackel. I hope you remember me as I worked for your husband for 10 years in High Point before moving to Wilmington. Just by chance, I saw Rob and you in Costco here in Wilmington shortly after when I worked for TWC at the time. I wish I had heard about his passing as I would have made it to the services. Rob was ALWAYS a respectful and thoughtful person to me and I truly enjoyed working for Culp - I actually think about those days a lot. My sincere sympathies to you and your family. I heard about his passing today from a friend in High Point and was shocked so I had to look it up. He died on my birthday. I don't know the circumstances around his death but take comfort in knowing he is in a better place. If you still have my email or number, please don't hesitate to reach out. Take care.
