He was predeceased by: his parents, Odis F. Stamey and Beulah Garner Stamey; his stepmother Carletta Stamey; his sisters, Nancy Stamey Volrath and Jeanette Stamey Graves; and his half-sister Betty Sykes.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Watts Stamey; and his brother Larry Dean Stamey (Kay). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
