He was predeceased by: his parents, Christine Johnson-Tyson and Otis Tyson, Sr.; his siblings, Otis Jr., James, Julius Tyson, Charles, Jerome, Willie, Larry, Cleveland, Louis Johnson, Dorothy Titus, Carolyn Anthony, Sarah Funchess, Juanita and Reatha Tyson; and his siblings-in-law, Margie, Letitia, Anne and Josephus Davis.
He is survived by: his daughter LaPorche McCaskill (Christopher); his grandchildren, Xavier and Brooklyn McCaskill; his siblings, Luther Johnson, Troy Anthony (Carol), Ella Shelton (Jimmie), Dr. Gwendolyn Green (Bobby, Jr.), Doris Byers (Jimmie), Debbie Davis and Cheryl Tyson; and his close friends, William Wilson, Carlus Wilson and Richard May. He is also survived by seventeen nephews, twenty-two nieces, and a host of great and great-great nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
