He was predeceased by: his mothers, Willie K. Fitzgerald and Rebecca Fitzgerald; his sister Mary Frances Wingo; and his brothers-in-law, Ken Wingo, Raymond Logan, Jr., Donziel Logan and Charlie Musgrove, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Marian Fitzgerald of High Point, NC; his children, Roy Fitzgerald, Jr. (Wanda) of Kernersville, NC and Shenika Green of High Point, NC; his grandsons, Chaney Fitzgerald and Josiah Green; his siblings, Rosetta Musgrove of Oxon Hill, MD and Willie Fitzgerald (Portia) of Chatham, VA; his siblings-in-law, Lawrence Logan of Gretna, VA, Leroy (Marissa) of Temple Terrace, FL, Evelyn Davis (Toise) of Gretna, VA and Lisa Walton of High Point, NC; his goddaughter Lynn Ingram; and his cousins, Deacon Michael, Mary and Miles Thomas of Greensboro, NC. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Gethsemane Baptist Church (401 Wise Ave, High Point, NC 27260). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to Gethsemane Baptist Church.
