She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Harvell and Lena Kenney Harvell; her husband Charles W. Yates; her daughter Sharon Creech; and her siblings, Oliver Harvell, Henry Harvell, Percy Harvell, Winford Harvell, Bleenie Farrington, Pearl Furr, Ruby Britt, Grace Lovin and Opal Sish.
She is survived by: her children, Charles E. Yates (Janice) and Marilynn Hiatt; and her grandchildren, Patricia Cunha, Gary Hiatt, Bobby Hiatt, Crystal Davis and Angel Smith. She is also survived by 15 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
