He was predeceased by: his parents, Riley George and Lula Yarborough George; and his siblings, Howard George, Henry George, Gaynell George Wolf and Mary Francis George.

He is survived by: his wife Rena George of High Point; his son Lee George; and his granddaughter Ashley George.
