He is survived by: his wife Virginia Tanner Smith; his sons, Chris Smith (Angie Quandt-Smith) and Shane Smith (Jamie Smith); his grandchildren, Alex Smith, Sophie Smith, Ciara Smith, Wesley Smith, Quinn Smith, Elisabeth Olson and Logan Olson; and his siblings, Glenda Gilmore and Clyde Gilmore.
