He was predeceased by: his parents, Billy Slate and BeckyLawrence Slate. He is survived by: his wife Bettina Goetze Slate; his children, Jennifer Whitehead (John) and Cody Slate (Corinne); his brothers, Mike Slate (Michelle) and Jeff Slate; and his grandchildren, Camille, Maev and John John.
