He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Hartley and Jane Davis Hartley; his wife Miss Margaret Kathryn Roueche' (Kitty) of Greensboro; and his brothers, Bob, Ed, Jack, Richard and Bill.
He is survived by: his friend Jerry Streetman; his daughters, Ann Hartley and Margaret Massey (Van); and his grandchildren, Stewart Massey (Laura) and Anna Massey (Jerry Streetman). He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
