She was predeceased by: her husband William Carroll Heard, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, William Carroll Heard III (Whitney Brigman Heard) and Rebecca Heard West (Robert Amon West); her brother Harvey Edward Hales, Jr. (Judy); and her grandchildren, Hannah Elaine West, Gracie Anne West, William Carroll Heard IV and Lucy Larkin Rose Heard. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Episcopal Church Women, the St. Mary's Order of the Daughters of the King, or the St. Mary's Church Choir.
