He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin Bristow and Agnes Haffaulker Bristow; and his son Billy Bristow. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Oldham Bristow; his children, Donna Kinley (Timothy) and Jimmy Bristow (Beverly Lineberry); his brother Roger Bristow; his grandson Jerimiah Cook; and his great grandchildren, Nemiah, Landon and Jaelynn.
