He was predeceased by: his parents, Ira Draper and Viola Cromer Draper; his wife Louise Draper; his son Robert Draper; and his sisters, Louise Loflin and Dorothy Coltrane.

He is survived by: his children, Dana Staley (Herb) and Tony Draper (Catherine); his grandchildren, David Draper (Sarah), Mark Draper (Courtney) and Christy Knight; and his great grandchildren, Micah, Caleb, Taylor and Noah.

Memorials may be directed to Shining Light Baptist Church.
