He was predeceased by: his parents, Worfie Burl and Beulah Wright Kearns; and his siblings, James, Jack, Donald Kearns and Marie Busdiecker.
He is survived by: his pets, Sweet Pea, Cricket, Peaches and Tinkerbell; his wife Donna Harrington; his sons, Thomas Kearns and Steve Kearns (Casey); his siblings, Douglas Kearns, Christine Hamlin (Babe) and Sylvia Spivey; and his grandchildren, Steven Matthew Kearns, Keri Kearns Ingram, Sydney Danielle Kearns and Cayden Allen Kearns. He is also survived by ten great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cumby Family Funeral Service - Archdale (206 Trindale Rd, Archdale, NC 27263). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Lebanon United Methodist Church Cemetery (237 Idol St, High Point, NC 27262).
