She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles "Bickett" Ellington and Lucille Darr Ellington. She is survived by: her son Dean Ruth (Dana); her sisters, Tommie Hughes of Lexington and Shirley Lassister of High Point; and her grandchildren, Brock Goodyear, Samantha McIntire, Katherine Martin and Alexandria Ruth. She is also survived by five great grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Wright Chapel, High Point (1720 Westchester Dr, High Point, NC 27262).
