She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin Luther Corn and Fannie Lillian Sechrest Corn; her husband John Harris Chastain Sr. Mrs (Chastain); and her siblings, Irene, Alene, Ruby, Azzlea, Udell, Howard, Richard Ray and Bobby.

She is survived by: her children, John Chastain, Jr. (Alice) of Wallburg, Craig Chastain (Sharon) of High Point and Leigh Chastain of High Point; her grandchildren, Matt, Eric, Dana, Beth and Lloyd; and her great grandchildren, Sophie and Beau.

The family requests that memorials be given to the First Baptist Church of High Point, 405 North Main Street, High Point, NC 27260.
