She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Segers and Lillian Hunt Cardwell; her sons, James "Jimmy" Hopkins and Johnny Hopkins; and her stepfather Johnny Junior Cardwell.
She is survived by: her children, Joyce Brown (David) of Archdale, Faye McDaniel (Elwood) of Thomasville, Randy Hopkins of Salisbury and Gerald Little of Lake Norman; and her sisters, Arlene Davis of Salisbury and Diane Benson (Robby) of Archdale. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
