He was predeceased by: his parents, William Forrest Hunt and Georgia Surrett Hunt of High Point; and his brother Jim Hunt of High Point. He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Ann McMasters; and his sisters, Donna Wilson of High Point, Judy Martin of High Point and Pam McQueen of Florida.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Samaritan's Purse.
