He was predeceased by: his parents, William Patrick Shannon and Mary Winston Shannon; his son Donald Murphy; and his sisters, Peggy Shannon and Doris Kutcher.
He is survived by: his wife June Balia Shannon; his daughters, Colleen Shannon and Miriam Poe; his grandchildren, Donald and Shannon Murphy; his great grandchild Zace Murphy; his siblings, Rosie Webber and Jimmy Shannon; and his niece Bonnie Sarra.
