He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Willie Sr. Gripper and Rosa Lee Gripper; his wife Frances Yvonne Hughes; his daughters, Charita, Monica (James Holloway) and Carrey (Jimesh Thaker); his grandchildren, Mynah (Kyle Woumn), Aubrey, Bryce Holloway and Sonia; and his daughters, Sohan and Leela Thaker.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Phillips Funeral Service, Inc. (1810 Brockett Ave, High Point, NC 27260).
