He was predeceased by: his father John Bethea; his siblings, Annie Bethea Collins, John "June" Bethea and Gloria Bethea Manns; and his great-nephew Colby Jamar Bethea.
He is survived by: his siblings, Thomas Bethea (Vivian) of Brooklyn, NY, Johnny Frank Bethea of Irvington, NJ, Jimmy Bethea (Mae) of Milwaukee, Geraldine Miller of Brooklyn, NY, Mary Willis of Newark, NJ and Ella Bethea of High Point, NC.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
