With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Wilma Hazzard (High Point, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 28, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Levett and Zelphia Burton Kennedy; her husband Albert B Hazzard Sr.; her son Albert B Hazzard Jr. (Sonny); her brother Darrell E. Kennedy; her sister-in-law Jean Kennedy; and her grandson Brian Scott Wells.
She is survived by: her children, Ronnie Wells (Kathy), Debbie Wells Stackhouse of Leland, Sherri Wells Brendle (Billy) of Winston Salem, Terri Wells James, Teresa Hazzard Miller of Winston Salem and Cheri Hazzard Juel (Neal) of Little River, SC; her niece Becky Spainhour (Larry) of Sunset Beach; and her nephew Mike Kennedy (Lisa) of Lexington. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be given to Pleasant Grove Methodist Church, PO Box 1049, Thomasville, NC 27361; or to the charity of your choice.
