She was predeceased by: her husband James Berrien Chidsey, Jr.; and her son James Berrien Chidsey III (Allen L. "Buck"). She is survived by: her children, Sallie Chidsey Taylor (Patrick), Jeannette Covington Chidsey and Charles Truman Chidsey (Gretchen); and her sister Barbara Hine Briley of Rome. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
