“Richard was known as WUOG, 90.5fm's biggest fan. In reality, we were all his biggest fans. Over a span of decades, Richard took the time to call and talk to countless students making their way through UGA's college radio station. He was a friend to many via the airwaves and phone lines that connected Athens and Highlands, NC. Being a college radio DJ can be lonely, but anyone in the booth knew there was a good chance that Richard was listening and therefore the music had to be good because he had impeccable taste.
