It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Whitfield Andrews of Hillsborough, North Carolina, who passed away on July 7, 2025, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Festus Whitfield and Swannie Hobby Whitfield; her husband Norbert Andrews; her son Ted Andrews; and her grandson Mitchell Andrews.
She is survived by: her sons, Donald Andrews (Dorothy) of Asheville, NC and Everette Andrews (Dale) of Hillsborough, NC; her daughter-in-law Katherine Andrews of Hillsborough, NC; and her grandchildren, Christi Andrews Sherman of Greenville, SC, Douglas Andrews of Asheville, NC, Elaine Andrews of Weaverville, NC, Carla Andrews Elliott (Kenny) of Candler, NC, Jim Andrews of Hillsborough, NC, Elizabeth Andrews of Chapel Hill, NC and Meredith Andrews Bagley (Chad) of Greenville, NC. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren and four respective spouses, and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Cane Creek Baptist Church (6901 Orange Grove Rd, Hillsborough, NC 27278). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
