Nonie Coline Rose Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nonie Coline Rose of Hillsborough, North Carolina, who passed away on October 17, 2025 at the age of 102. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Nonie may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Nonie touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her father William Watson; and her husband Dewey Rose. She is survived by: her mother Nannie Watson; her children, Jerry Rose (Donna) and Linda Rose Long; her siblings, Clifton Watson, Robert Watson and Catherine Bowling; and her close friend Dee Wilkins. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren, other loving family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Woodlawn Memorial Park (2107 Liberty St, Durham, NC 27703). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
