She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Peter Stanek and Anne Rose Tetlak Stanek; and her husband Robert Edward Burgess. She is survived by: her children, Debra Bronson (Chris), Mike Burgess (Berna), Brian Burgess (Debbie) and Chris Burgess; her grandchildren, Jason, Emily (Chris), Nathan (Mizuki), Lauren, Ryan (Hannah), Christopher (Isabella), Abi, Devin and Noah (Jane); and her great grandchildren, Raylan, Sophie, Isaiah, Evelyn, Bransen, Matthew, Waylon, Margot and Extended Stanek.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 9th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Clements Funeral Home (148 N Churton St, Hillsborough, NC 27278). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, February 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church (1620 Hanford Rd, Graham, NC 27253).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in her memory to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church or your local animal shelter.
