It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sarah Vaughn of Hillsborough, North Carolina, born in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, who passed away on March 15, 2025, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Vivian Lucille Blackwell Mitchell and James Isaac Mitchell; and her grandparents, Rev. Elbert Blackwell, Sr., Marion Brooks Blackwell, Robert Mitchell and Cleo Hester Mitchell.
She is survived by: her sons, Chauncey James Vaughn and Cedric Jameel Vaughn; her former husband Chauncey Roscoe Vaughn; her aunts, Carolyn Cotton, Ida Jean Mims and Barbara White; her great-aunt Doris Hester; and her great-uncle RalphHester (Doris). She is also survived by loving cousins and lifelong friends.
