With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Lael Bunting Hinman House (Hobgood, North Carolina), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Bunting and Ernest Bunting; and her siblings, Jewel Roberson, Ann Lapetina and Ernest Bunting.
She is survived by: her children, Rhonda Mayer (David) of Hobgood and Eugene "Gene" Hinman (Jan) of Richmond, VA; her grandchildren, Amanda Elkins (Ron) of Hobgood, Anita Propheter (Scott) of Hobgood, Austin Hinman of Richmond, VA, Conner Hinman (Grace) of San Diego, CA and Vidal Simon (Jackie) of Hobgood; and her great grandchildren, Andrew Elkins (Izzy), Jacob Elkins, Alice Propheter, Kent Propheter, Archer Propheter, Mia Simon and Bellamy Simon.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Hobgood Methodist Church (271 N Pine St, Hobgood, NC 27843). A burial will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Hobgood Cemetery (202 W 5th St, Hobgood, NC 27843). A reception will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Hobgood Methodist Church (271 N Pine St, Hobgood, NC 27843).
