He was predeceased by: his parents, John Daniel and Frances Gupton Champion. He is survived by: his wife Melanie Hunt Champion; his children, Tara Glarum (Christopher) of Wake Forest and Tyler Champion (Danielle) of Supply; his grandchildren, Connor Glarum, Callan Glarum and Finley Champion; and his mother-in-law Elaine Hunt.
