She was predeceased by: her husband Frank Leonard; her parents, Jasper Phillip Ottaway and Leona Pearl Parker Ottaway; her daughter Cynthia Darlene Costello; and her brothers, Jim and Bill Ottaway.
She is survived by: her children, Doyle Wayne Pearson, Jr. (Lynn) of Hampstead, Sherry Pearson Braun-Reece (James Reece) of Hampstead and Shelly Pearson Hauser of Delco; her grandchildren, Ashley of Jeffrey, Jason, Kathryne, Rodney, Jacob, Eric, Amanda and Nikko; her great grandchildren, Alysha, Kenzie, Harper, Charlie, Reagan, Bronte, Guillaum, Moss and Noa; her great great grandchild Oliver; and her siblings, Rosalee Batts of Hampstead, Linda Bullard of Holly Ridge and Andy Ottaway (Elizabeth) of Holly Ridge. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Jones Funeral Home, Holly Ridge Chapel (207 N Dyson St, Holly Ridge, NC 28445). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel in Holly Ridge (207 N Dyson St, Holly Ridge, NC 28445). A graveside service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Ottaway Family Cemetery (274 Ottaway Ave, Holly Ridge, NC 28445).
