He is survived by: his wife Wendy Yates (Petree); his son KeShawn Yates; his daughter-in-law Angel Frazier of Holly Ridge; his grandson Zaiden Yates; his siblings, Claudia Yates of Pittsburgh, PA, Lynn Yates of Pittsburgh, PA and Kevin Yates of Maryland; his mother-in-law Sandy Steadman of Sneads Ferry; and his close friend Mike Dennett. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other beloved family members.
