She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert A. Averitte Jr. and Joyce McLaurin Averitte; her brother Robert Gary Averitte; and her pet Dexter. She is survived by: her husband Richard DeWitte Sparkman; her daughter Emily Dianne Sparkman of Holly Springs; her cousin Norma Jane Gray; and her sister-in-law Donna London. She is also survived by four nieces, three nephews, one great-niece, three great-nephews.
The family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association and Transitions LifeCare.
