She was predeceased by: her parents, Kermit J. Cotten and Clara S. Cotten; her husband Percy H. Sears; her son Bobby G. Sears; and her granddaughter Tana Sears.

She is survived by: her children, Jack Sears (Jewell) of Holly Springs, Ronnie Sears of Holly Springs, Linda Cates of Holly Springs and Donna Peacock (Joe) of Fuquay-Varina. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
