He is survived by: his wife Jane Grills Jones; his daughters, Laura Jones Bottomley (Greg) of Cary, NC and Suzanne Jones Fulghum (Wade) of Concord, NC; his grandchildren, James Edward (Jamie) and Kathleen Elaine (Katie); his great grandchildren, Emma Rose Bottomley and Poppy Nell Evans; his sister Sara Cummins (Sonny); his granddaughter Allie; his daughter Suzie; his grandchildren, Jamie and Katie; and his caregivers, Melissa, Lindsay, Susan, Lucy, Kella and Kim Coleman. He is also survived by several nieces and a nephew.
