He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie James and Sadie Beaman Taylor; and his siblings, Adelle Howell, Hazel Mitchell, Moleen Pender, Hardy Taylor, James "Bud" Taylor, Parrott Taylor of Chester Howell, B. J, Taylor and Douglas Taylor.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Clemmons Taylor; his children, Charles Robert Taylor (Traci) of Winterville and Sheri Elaine Taylor of Hookerton; and his grandchildren, Brittany Taylor of Winterville, Shane Taylor of Winterville and Ethan Taylor of Winterville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
