With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Alvah Martin Sr. of Hookerton, North Carolina, born in New Bern, North Carolina, who passed away on September 4, 2023 at the age of 75. He was predeceased by : his parents, James Alexander and Flora Bell Williams Martin; and his brother John Martin. He is survived by : his wife Donna Edwards Martin; his sons, James Alvah Martin, Jr. (Tammie) and Michael Wayne Martin (Holland); his siblings, Joey Martin (Lourdes), Jeffrey (Beth), Jean Hussey (Billy) and Judy Johnson (Mickey); his sister-in-law Sue Martin; and his grandchildren, April Martin Tilghman (Michael), Levi Martin (Amber), Seth Martin (Ariel), Noah Martin, Caroline Ulisnik (Daniel), Rachael Cazeres Medellin (Roberto), Isabelle Martin and Ethan Martin.
