Betty Jean Evers Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Jean Evers of Hope Mills, North Carolina, who passed away on May 16, 2026 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Gray Riddle and Lucy Cain Riddle; her husband Jimmy Ray Evers; and her brothers, Robert Riddle and Joseph B. Riddle.
She is survived by: her sons, David Thaggard (Vickie), Rodney Thaggard (Sheila) and Steven Thaggard (Lynn); her sisters, Barbara A. Peters and Frances Whittaker; and her grandchildren, David L., Dana, Jake, Tabatha, Traci, Kara and John. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
