We announce the death of Bishop C. C. Allen Jr. of Hope Mills, North Carolina, who passed away on September 16, 2026, at the age of 87. He was predeceased by: his parents, Christopher C. Allen Sr. and Stella Hardin Allen; his wife Jeanette Jacobs Allen; his daughter Sherry Allen; and his siblings, Alma Garity, Eula Mae Sanders and Donnie Allen.
He is survived by: his children, Jan Allen of Fayetteville, NC, Christopher Allen III (Joy) of Cleveland, Patience, Johannah Allen, Sheila Locklear (Timmy), Charles Woods and George Marston; and his grandchildren, Joel Allen, Joshua Allen (Reagan), Jeremiah Allen (Catherine), Jadynn Allen, Michael, Jade, Trevor Locklear, Brock, Bryce Woods and Tyler Marston. He is also survived by many extended family members, cousins and a host of church family and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Saddletree Church of God (1508 Rennert Rd, Lumberton, NC 28360). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at the Lumbee Memorial Gardens (774 Moss Neck Rd, Lumberton, NC 28360).
