We are sad to announce that on April 11, 2024, at the age of 77, Faye Nell Simmons of Hope Mills, North Carolina, born in Fort Payne, Alabama passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Faye Nell Simmons to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Annie Lee Smalley and Oliver Andrew Smith; her husband James Simmons; her daughter Connie Lynn; and her siblings, Joeseph Smith, Jimmy Smith, Donald Smith, Kaye Smith, Bonnie Tolbert, Dottie Calway, Denise White and Lee Hoggard.

She is survived by : her children, David Smith of Enterprise Al, Micheal Smith of Hope Mills, NC and Douglas Folsom (Donna) of Fayetteville, NC; and her brothers, Ray Smith and Albert Smith. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren and many other extended family members and friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Friendship Baptist Church (3232 Davis St, Hope Mills, NC 28348). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Sandhills State Veteran Cemetery (8220 Bragg Blvd, Fort Liberty, NC 28310).
