He was predeceased by: the mother of his children Margaret Louise Stewart; his wife Jacqueline Wellman Stewart; his son Steven Curtis Stewart; his grandchildren, Angelic and Christopher Emerick; and his son-in-law Karl Hixson.
He is survived by: his children, Sandra Clark (Thomas), Harvey Stewart Jr. (Alma) and Jennifer Hixson. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
