He was predeceased by: his parents, Virginia McCosh (Evans) and Joe McCosh. He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Walston McCosh (Kay); his sons, Grant E. (Fernanda) and Scot (Paula); and his grandchildren, Grant B. (Megan), Kate (Dawson), Hunter, George, Jamauri, Jarrod and Michael.
In his honor, in lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Mount Pisgah Baptist Church's Backpack Buddy ministry of which Jay was a part for over 10 years.
