She was predeceased by: her parents, Levander Emanuel and Mary "Missy" Emanuel; her husband William Groves; her children, Wanda Groves and Mitchell Groves; and her grandsons, Richard Randall Cook, Stevie Cooper and Dylan Townsend.
She is survived by: her children, Vickie Cooper (Robert), Ken Groves (Sheila), Ellon Cook (Ricky) and Lorie Johnson (Danny); and her siblings, Cornelius Emanuel, James Elbert Emanuel and Eyvonne Mosemak (John). She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at the Pinecrest Funeral & Cremation Services (4721 Dunrobin Dr, Hope Mills, NC 28348). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Macedonia Holiness Church (207 Indian Dr, Fayetteville, NC 28312). A burial will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at the Fayetteville Memorial Cemetery (2881 Gillespie St, Fayetteville, NC 28306).
