With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Merle Faircloth Johnson of Hope Mills, North Carolina, born in Cumberland, North Carolina, who passed away on February 10, 2024 at the age of 93. She was predeceased by : her parents, Charles Henton Faircloth and Ollie Blanche Cameron Faircloth; her husband Robert Lee Johnson, Sr.; her son Robert Lee Johnson, Jr.; and her brothers, David Faircloth and Harold Faircloth.

She is survived by : her children, Paulette McLean (Al) and Danny Johnson (Cindy); her grandsons, Trey McLean (Tanya), Brandon McLean (Beth), Daniel Johnson (Brittany), Bobby Johnson (Michelle) and Zachary Johnson (Stephanie); her great grandchildren, Grace McLean, Annika McLean, Nolan McLean, Cecilia McLean, Ashton Johnson, Ellayna Johnson, Cody Williams, Contessa Williams, Caroline Johnson, Cameron Johnson, Jude Johnson and Zachary Johnson II; her siblings-in-law, Joe Johnson (Jeri), Allen Johnson, Betty Madison and Nancy Johnson; and her caregiver Jan Smith.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request memorial contributions in honor of GiGi be made to Cotton Methodist Church in Hope Mills.
