He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles L. Benfield and Cleo Setzer Benfield; and his siblings, Louise McClure, Joyce Crawford Benfield, Betty Pike, Bill and Jim Benfield.
He is survived by: his wife Gail Pavlovsky Benfield; his sons, Tim Benfield (Kim), Matthew Benfield (Jennifer) and Mark Benfield; and his grandchildren, Maxwell, Jacob, Garrett, Ella Jae and Cade.
